Vacation Bible School Volunteers Needed!
We are looking for Adult & Youth volunteers for VBS 2023! It will be held July 10-14, from 9:00-12:00 each day. Youth volunteers must be at least 12 years old. If interested, a sign-up sheet will be in MFLC.
PRAYERS YOUR CHILD SHOULD KNOW PRIOR TO BEGINNING CLASS
1ST GRADE: Sign of the Cross, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be
2nd & 3 GRADE: All of the above and the Act of Contrition
4TH GRADE: All of the above and the Apostles’ Creed
5th & 6th GRADE: All of the above and the Ten Commandments; the seven sacraments
7th & 8th GRADE: All of the above and Holy Days of Obligation
9th, 10th, & 11th, GRADE: All of the above, Mysteries of the Rosary, and the Hail Holy Queen
REMEMBER: The easiest way to teach children to pray is to actually pray with them every day.

Youth Formation Registration!
Youth Formation Registration for the 2023-2024 Youth Formation year is going on now through July 31st, for Grades 1st-11th grades. E.D. White Students in 10th grade in the school year 2023-2024 MUST register and MUST attend the Youth Formation Program in order to confirm here at St. Charles Borromeo. Registration forms are available in MFLC, at the Administration Office, and the link below:
First Communion Retreat and Mass
A First Communion Retreat will be held for all second grade first communicants on May 6, 2023 from 9:00am until 11:00am to rehearse for their First Communion Mass. They will be receiving their First Communion on May 7, 2023 at 1:00 PM. Please contact Bethany Ratcliff with any questions at scyouth@htdiocese.org.
DIOCESE OF HOUMA-THIBODAUX OUTREACH LINE
In April, we observe Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month. This is a time we remember all victims of child abuse and call to mind what is necessary to ensure the safety of all children.
In response to the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux is offering an Outreach Line (formerly known as the Child Protection Contact Line). The Outreach Line was created to extend the diocesan commitment to support healing for all who have been hurt or sexually abused, whether recently or in the past by clergy, religious, or other employees of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux.
The Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux Outreach Line operates from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday. A trained mental health professional is available for those who reach out. Individuals are offered additional assistance if requested. The Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux Outreach Line telephone number is: (985) 873-0026 or (985) 850-3172).
